I’ve been keeping a gratitude journal off and on for years! I even had a blog dedicated to daily gratitude for a while. It’s something that helps remind me of all the wonderful experiences and people I’ve had in my life… and it helps me stay focused on current goals and dreams and to live happily each day, appreciating what is now.
While looking forward to our future, we can not forget that we are living in the present – that it’s important to make happiness an attitude, not a destination we reach when we get the promotion, lose weight, have more money, get a new car, etc. Those things are all great – but if we don’t appreciate now and feel good now… what happens if we never get that new car? will we never be happy? So, I challenge you to keep a gratitude journal for just 7 days and see how it feels 🙂
I am grateful for nature and magical waters of Mt. Shasta. It’s been more than 2 years since I last visited and drank the fresh spring water, but I am thinking about it today and grateful for the experiences.
